Now, with the advent of the 04 PMS, you can "fudge" with those numbers. you would want to turn the idle speed screws clockwise to increase idle speed. to keep things in sync, just turn each screw 1/8 to 1/4 turn at a time. example: turn clockwise the idle speed screw on the pto side cylinder 1/4 turn. then turn clockwise the mag side idle screw 1/4 turn. as long as you adjust them evenly you should do ok. this worked for me by the book for base idle adjustments, and it was very very close to 1500 in water idle. turn the idle speed screw (T) out until the throttle plates are closed or there is a gap between the end of screw and carb tang/lever. Now turn in the idle speed screw (T) until it just comes in contact and touches the carb tang/lever.
